On Monday, October 21, 2019, God in His infinite wisdom called Malachi Marshall to eternal rest. Malachi was born on June 24, 1952, Knightdale, NC, to the late Calvin Marshall, Sr. and Inez Marshall, and came to know the Lord at an early age. Malachi attended George Washington Carver High School and graduated from Crestwood High School, Chesapeake, VA, Class of 1971. He attended Elizabeth City State University and Delaware State University. An avid sports lover from an early
age, Malachi was captain of his high school football and baseball teams and later played college football and had a very brief career with a semi-pro team.
Malachi was a member of First Baptist Church South Hill, and formerly sang in the Men’s Choir and played on the Adult Men’s
Baseball team. Malachi was retired from Plasser American Corporation. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish memories his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Jacquelyn Terrell Marshall; a son, Brandon J. Marshall; a daughter, Kiah N. Marshall; grandsons, Cason and Chase; brothers, Jimmie Farmer, Sr. (Linda), Calvin Marshall, Jr., and Robert Marshall, and a host of other relatives and friends.

October 29, 2019 at 9:05 pmI am so sorry to here about my friend and ex-classmate ,he was in the last class to graduate from Crestwood one year ahead of the class of 72. I saw him on his job a few times and we would of course talk about Crestwood days and he told me he was looking forward to retiring I am glad he got to do that. His presence was always known by his size and his friendliness. We buried my brother on 10/28/2019 and I was here looking for his memorial and immediate saw Malachi’s name and then saw that “big smile” May God give him rest and the family peace !!!
