Mae H. Peele entered into eternal rest on August 27, 2019, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was a retired Norfolk public school teacher and a professional cosmetologist.
A devout Episcopalian, Mae was a member of Saint Francis Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. She was also a licensed Eucharist Minister, a Christian Formation Director, and an Associate of the Sisters of the Holy Nativity (an Episcopal Monastic Community of Nuns).
Mae was the daughter of the late Alphears (Button) Hoffler and Alice Gertrude Hoffler. She was predeceased by twelve siblings. Her surviving loved ones include a special niece and foster daughter, Cynthia Ferebee of Durham, North Carolina, her husband Floyd, special goddaughter Andrea Taylor of Norfolk, a sister, Dorothy H. Riddick of Virginia Beach, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.
