Early Sunday morning, August 22, 2021. Lucille R. Pace departed this life at Oak Grove Rehabilitation Center, Chesapeake Virginia. Lucille was born January 22, 1933 to the late Clarence Redmond and Alice battle Redmond in Tarboro, North Carlina. She attended school in Parmele, North Carolina. She married Charles Cleo Pace on July 3, 1956 and from their union they had 8 children. Lucille was a companion aide for the City of Virginia Beach and a private caterer, not to mention the countless memberships with the church, schools and the Virginia Beach Police department ( F.O.P.Lodge #8). She is a member of New Hope Baptist church. She was also a Deaconess sister and Missionary as well as Pastor Aide.
She is preceeded in death by Charles C. Pace, children Evelyn Jefferson, Charles Pace Jr, Shirley Winder, and Joyce Jackson. Her Brothers Ben Forman (Emma), James Redmond (Geraldine), Milton Redmond and Sisters Dorothy Ross, and Gladys Thigpen (Robert).
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, Carolyn Kellam (Samuel) of Hinesville, Georgia. Vivian Cartwright, Alice Wilson and Adrian Earl (Kenneth) all of Virginia Beach. One sister Annie Mildred Johnson Davis of Greenville, North Carolina. 21 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
