Linda E. Finney-Brown

Linda Finney-Brown, also known as “Lively Linda,” passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 71 in Norfolk City, Virginia. She was born on July 17, 1952, to Albert and Minerva Finney. Linda is survived by: her son, Elder Dwayne L. Brown, Sr., and Daughter in Love, Evangelist Sheena Brown of Victory Gospel Chapel

Linda attended Carver High School and later dedicated her life to work at Victory Gospel Chapel. She was a devoted member of the Partrea Midrise organization, serving as a valued board member. Linda was also recognized for her commitment to the church as a Deaconess/Full-time Ministry.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Linda enjoyed spending time, Shopping on HSN and at Walmart “ Her Mall” LoL 😂. She also loved fishing with her family and friends. She was known for her infectious laughter and kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, impacting the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. In addition Linda was preceded her son Morris (Man) Brown, Jr.; Sisters, Albertina Perry, Joyce Ann Finney; Brother, Arnold Ray Finney. Linda is survived by nine adoring grandchildren, Dwayne, Sr. (5) Spirit, Domonique, Dwayne, Jr., De’Morris and Dei; And Morris, Jr. aka Man (4) Nikki, Tiffany (TJ ), Torri and Brandon and (4) Great grands, also Sisters, Mira and Sandra Finney.

She will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith.
