Lillie Jacobs Coleman passed peacefully at her home in Portsmouth, VA on June 6, 2020. She was born in Burgaw, North Carolina on September 18, 1921 to Anguish Jacobs and Hattie Merritt. She was predeceased by her husband George Coleman. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Joyce Dudley (Monroe), Diana Coleman, and Sharon Coleman. She will be dearly missed by her 6 grandchildren: Dennis Dudley, JoAnn Wilson (Darren), Donna Everett (Reginald), Dianne Dudley (Willie), April Kennedy, and Kameke Mojica (Nicholas); 10 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren and one godson Tyrone Goodwyn. She has now passed the baton.

    You have 96 years to reflect on her beautiful smile, her sweet spirit and her calming demeanor. Yes, she will be truly missed, however, we must live so that one day we will be together again. I know it will be hard. Seek God for your comfort and know that God will give you the strength to get through this very difficult time. We are definitely praying for the family.
