Realizing that life is a gift from God and that by his redemptive grace we can make the most of our days, we thank God for his perfect gift. On October 18, 2019, God reclaimed his precious gift, leaving us wonderful memories. Letha was born February 10, 1963 to the late George Jackson, Sr. and Sweetie Ardell Jackson. Letha loved BINGO, football, and going fishing with her husband Donell.
She worked at Chesapeake Health & Rehabilitation Center until her health failed; devoting over 30 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Letha had a fun-loving, joyful spirit. She was a loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her smile was infectious, her heart was full of love, and her home was your home. The love Letha had for her family was truly unconditional and she fought a good fight because of them.

October 25, 2019 at 8:34 amI want to send my condolences to the family. She was a beautiful person. I love the relationship she had with her children. I love to see her with her daughter at Bingo. I remember her son pushing her in the wheelchair to Bingo and coming back to get her. That’s love. I will miss seeing her smile but she is resting with the master. Children know you did all you could do for your mother and the Lord saw it. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

October 28, 2019 at 11:36 pmTo Essence and the family of Ms. Letha: My grandmother- Claudette Johnson worked at Ghent Arms many years ago with your mother. I use to assist the activity coordinator with you. We were very young ladies at the time. I just asked my grandmother had she heard from your mother as she ran into some other former co-workers. I am so saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. I pray for comfort and understanding for all of the family and friends during this difficult time.
May God Bless You All!
