Our beloved, Lester Thomas Weaks, Jr., 63, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away October 10, 2021. Lester was born April 10, 1958, to Thomas Lester Weaks, Sr. and Josephine Weaks, in Norfolk, Virginia.
Lester, was educated in the Norfolk Public School system. He attended Lake Taylor High School, where he will always be remembered for singing in the bathroom and hallways. Although Lester never married, his pearly white teeth, and amazing tenor singing skills, won the hearts of many beautiful women. Those fortunate enough to hear him sing, would agree that his voice was captivating, especially when he sang, Reasons by Earth, Wind and Fire.
Lester was the fourth of seven children. He was predeceased by his father, Lester Thomas Weaks, Sr. who passed away, September 21, 2004, and his brothers, Lowell Whitehead and James Whitehead.  He is survived by his mother, Josephine Weaks, of Norfolk, VA. Three sisters, Linda M. Deloatch (Norman), of Norfolk, VA; Sharon Owens, of Norfolk, VA; Hattie M. Tatem, of Virgina Beach, VA. His brother, Arthur Weaks of Norfolk, VA. ; and Four children, Nikia Jordan, of Portsmouth, VA; Lester Forbes, of Barstow, CA; Lavon Williams, of Norfolk, VA; and Martini Hunt of North Carolina. He also leaves to cherish his laugh and smile, his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

    This is so hard for me to write this about you Uncle Lester when I got that phone call that morning I was so hurt you was one of my favorite Uncles you always kept a smile on my face when you would come around and singing all the time I think between you and my mom had us knowing al Luther Vandross but on a real note I am going too miss you I know you and daddy up there having a good time singing Uncle Lester I am going to miss you gone but never forgotten love you unk
