Lester J. Woodard, Jr. passed away December 13, 2018.
To all of the Woodard family, I extend my condolences for your loss. I embrace you with my prayers, love, and support. I, too, will miss our travels together, his radiant lighthearted smile, and his upbeat personality. Katherine Brooks
I’m truly sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. Please take comfort in Christ promise of the resurrection, John 5:28,29. Please know that others care and that God heals the broken-hearted, Psalm 147:3
I would always remember your father, my uncle as a caring and kind man. There would never be another man quite like him and his memory will live on forever.
Sorry for the loss of your loved one. I have found this scripture to be most comforting. I hope this will bring comfort to you as it has to me. Isaiah 25:8- He will swallow up death forever.
May knowing others care give you comfort and help you all endure. Soon “He will call” Job 14:15
Had I known that the last time I saw you…would have been the last time I would hug, hear and touch you…there is nothing I would have done differently. From Virginia to Philly to New Jersey, from Hawaii to Mississippi, from New Orleans to Maryland, from the Blues Festival in Greenville, dancing at Adrienne’s club in Jackson, to the Essence festival in NOLA, even sitting on the patio in Nashville eating Haitian Pumpkin Stew Learned a lot from you…how to forgive, how to find a smile anywhere, to have God in you instead of on you, how to save a quarter or two, and how to just be good people all the way around. We lived, we laughed, we loved. We will catch up when we see you again…..
