I’ve been blessed in my life to have been a lead in several Lenis Guess productions in New York City. Lenis went from being an acclaimed Recording Artist/Legend and Theater Producer/Director to becoming my very Dear Brother in Christ/ Spiritual Granddad & Friend that I could call on at anytime.

Lenis was always there for me if I dropped by his studio for wisdom and advise. He never held back constructive criticism but blessed me with the love of Christ when he did. This is personally a major loss in my life and we’re praying for his family and friends.

I know Lenis Guess is in God’s loving arms. He’s spent a lifetime given his best for God’s glory and teaching us how to do so as well.

Norfolk has lost one of the best . I remember him as a young girl from our projects and some one would say Lenis Guess was in the area and we would all run to see him. He was our superstar. God bless you Guess family.

Lenis was truly very special and one of a kind. I was studying and working in NYC and had the privilege of being cast in a couple of his productions. He always provided such a safe and nurturing space for us as artists and coupled with his love of God it was so rare and special to be able to also call him brother.

I am deeply saddened by his passing but so very grateful for the indelible mark he left on me and so many others. I am so grateful for his art and his ministry.
Well done good and faithful servant!

This was such a beautiful and moving service. Praying God’s comfort for the family today and always.
