Lena Wilson was a devoted Pentecostal Baptist Church attendant. She was born on September 17, 1936, in Washington, North Carolina, to Woodley Whitley, Sr. and Johnnie Ruth Whitley. She was married to Willis E. Wilson, Sr.
She retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where she worked as a fabric worker. She had six children: Jennifer Rodriguez, Chrystal Wilson, Willis E. Wilson, Jr., Selena Edwards, Phillip D. Wilson, and Johnna McKnight.
She leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Special grandchildren, Stacey Robinson Junior, Byron Wilson, Chrystal Jones, and Angie McKnight (deceased).
Lena leaves behind one sister, Edna Broner, and brothers: Woodley Whitley, Jr., Roland Whitley, Sr., and Clarence Whitley.
Lena had special nephews and nieces: Roland Whitley, Jr., Tony Whitley, Katrina Broner, and Paulette Metts. Lena cherished her special son-in-law, Minister Bernard McKnight.
Lena has lived a long life with the love of family and great friends. Keep our family in prayer.
