Leila Nevaeh Hobbs, affectionately known as “The Unicorn Princess”, was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia on May 11, 2016 to Ashley & LaTavis Hobbs. She was the youngest of 6. From the very beginning, she was only given 6months to live  but God allowed her to share 6 amazing  years with her family & friends.

Leila brought  joy to everyone she came in contact with. She was so full of personality and attitude. Her whole life she was “Leila Strong” and overcame every obstacle that came her way. She never allowed a diagnosis to be an excuse. The Unicorn Princess fought hard to the very last moment when she finally earned her eternal rest and healing on August 24th, 2022 with her mommy & daddy by her side.

Leila attended Pre-K at the amazing Easton Preschool  and she attended Kindergarten  at the wonderful Willard Elementary School in Norfolk, VA. Leila would have been starting First Grade this week. She received awesome therapy services at Sentara Therapy Services in Virginia Beach, VA. Leila was blessed to receive all of  her amazing medical care at CHKD in Norfolk, VA , where she was well known & loved by everyone especially in the NICU, PICU and TICU. Over the years, Leila gained popularity on Social Media where her story touched the hearts of thousands.

To cherish her wonderful memories, Leila leaves her mommy, Ashley Hobbs (Cromwell) and daddy, LaTavis Hobbs; Four awesome big brothers: LaTavis Hobbs Jr. , Jayden Cromwell, Jonah Schexnayder and Ahmari Hobbs; One amazing big sister: Trinity Hobbs-Anderson; Grandparents: Janet Cromwell, Carlos Outten, Terrell Holmes, Edith Parker and Joe Falcon; Aunts & Uncles: Brittney & Shyreek Robertson, Tiffany & Gary Vann, Tyechia & Latreal Parker, Shaun Cromwell,  Naashon Outten, Shyanna Green, Montigo Brown, Shontia Short; Crazy Cousins Crew; God mommy: Sheray Patillo ; Longtime nurse & buddy: Ramona Borden. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, great aunts & uncles, social media aunts & uncles and loving friends.
