On Sunday June 16, 2024, Legacy Daisha Gatling joined our Lord and Savior in Christ. Legacy will be remembered as the most kind-hearted, free spirited and compassion young lady.
Legacy graduated with honors in June of 2018 from Western Branch high school. She continued to pursue her education at Old Dominion University. She graduated from ODU in May of 2022 with honors and received a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting management. For the past two years, she has been working for Zims Management. A few months before of passing, she became a member of Grove Baptist Ministery in Portsmouth, VA. Her future plans were to become a military sealift command.
Legacy is survived by her mother La’Keithia Gatling and her father Anthony Day. She has four loving siblings that will miss her dearly, Shyderia Day (oldest sister), Jermaine Roberts, Jr. (oldest brother), Legend Day (youngest brother), and Lyriik Day (youngest sister). She also leaves a host family and friends.
She will always be remembered as a hard-working, intelligent and generous young lady with a beautiful smile.
