December 1, 2018 at 5:20 pmTo the McDuffie family. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Bos’n McDuffie (as I knew him) we served together onboard the USS Lexington. I was a young, junior sailor; he was senior, and he set an example for a lot of us young sailors to follow! A leader to emulate, someone who looked like me. May he rest in peace. I’m grateful for his service to our nation, and grateful to have had the opportunity to know him, and serve with him. I pray God, will comfort the McDuffie family in your moment of grief.
