Lee Arthur S. Sherrod, III departed this earthly life Sunday, September 27, 2020. Lee was a native of Norfolk, VA, born February 5, 1964. He resided in Norfolk for many years and was educated in Norfolk Public Schools System.
After working for Levin’s Brass Bed for many years, Lee made a career with the Federal government as a sandblaster for 36 years. Once the Naval Air Station closed, Lee transitioned to Cherry Point, N.C. to continue his career.
Lee is predeceased by his parents, Lee Arthur S. Sherrod, Jr. and Cynthia B. Sherrod; brother, Darryl B. Sherrod; niece, Tesha Sherrod and his grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his wife, Jannis Tolvert Sherrod; his children, Tre’Shawn A. Belfield (LeLe) and Leeah A. Sherrod; stepchildren, Walter Bachemin, Dorothy Tolvert and Marcheal Gideon; two grandchildren, Tre’Shawn and Trinity Belfield; his sister, Patrice D. Sherrod (Bernard); his brother, Shawn Sherrod (Alicia); five nieces, Tierra Sherrod, Keisha Penn, C’Airra Fonville, Brittany Copeland and Kayla Lawson and a host of relatives and friends.
Lee loved everyone and had a heart of gold. He will truly be missed.
