Larry “Butter” Williams, Sr., transitioned from this earthly place on February 28, 2019 in Norfolk, VA. Larry was born September 22, 1959 to Matthew Williams, Sr. and Shirley L. Jackson Williams of Vicksburg, MS. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS under the pastorate of Reverend A. L. Barnes. He attended Vicksburg Public Schools and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Clarksdale, MS. He also attended Tennessee State and Jackson
State Universities.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed assisting people within the community and would give you his last if you needed it. He also enjoyed sports and could call any play from his recliner as though he was a paid referee. His love for family, sports, and community will forever be forged in the depths of our hearts.

Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife Deborah “Debbie” Nelson, son Larry Williams, Jr., father Matthew Williams, Sr., brother, Matthew Williams, Jr., maternal grandparents Jim
and Ernestine B. Green, and Robert S. Jackson, and paternal grandparents Estes Sr. and Lucy Williams. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters Ashley Wallace Wilson (Kevin), Natasha Wallace, Jashme Williams and Robin Williams; son Linsey Williams; grandsons DaShawn Wallace, Zaybe Wallace, Justice Wilson, and Larry’on Carter Williams,
granddaughter, Kevinanna Wilson all of Norfolk, VA; mother Shirley Williams of Vicksburg, sister Donna Williams of Vicksburg, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins,
and friends.
