Kim Renee Gracia received her angel wings on December 14th, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Kim was born January 31, 1960 in Norfolk, VA. She was raised by her wonderful parents Rita and James Flowers. Kim received her education from the Norfolk Public School System. She worked as a personal care partner providing tender love and care to her patients. Kim was a faithful member of Norfolk United Methodist Church. Growing up, she enjoyed double dutch, dancing and listening to music. She brought joy to any room she entered and her presence was always heartfelt. Kim loved to care for others and was well known for putting everyone before herself. She loved hard and made sure everyone in her presence felt welcomed. Kim was a strong woman that truly loved life and her family.
Kim’s favorite things included being a mother, grandmother, and daughter. She also enjoyed cooking, taking care of her garden, fishing, feeding the birds and the squirrels. She most loved cheering on her Dallas Cowboys and coming out of what we all know as the “Blue Corner”. One of her greatest moments was in November of 2018, when her dream of going on ‘The Price is Right Live’ finally came true.
Just two short years ago, she began her battle with cancer. She fought all the way until God called her home. She was a warrior, a true fighter and an inspiration to us all. She will forever be remembered and cherished.
Kim leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Terrence Gregory Sr. and Wesley Gregory; daughter, Jasmine Gregory (Orris); grandchildren, Terrence Gregory Jr. and Alaysia Gregory; father, James Flowers; godchildren, Nakia Chambliss (Rashaad), LeSheryl Moore, Marvin Moore, Iesha Thompson and Ishay Thomas; two brothers, Gary Freeman and Donson Brown; Aunts, Virginia Sweat, Christine Valentine and Brenda Bradley; Uncles, Allen Flowers and Isaac Bradley; three special cousins who were more like her sisters, Cheryl Moore, Anita Chapman, Karen Thomas; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks goes to Janine Bly and her family for assisting with Kim’s care during her battle.
“Although she will be deeply missed, there is joy and peace in knowing that she is not hurting or in pain anymore. We thank God for blessings us with her.”
