On April 5, 2025, Keyana Mikeia Lewis Allen, often known as “Kee Kee” was called home peacefully. Our heavy hearts are uplifted by the memories of her charming smile, contagious laugh, and unforgettable presence.
Keyana was born on May 17, 1978 to the late Clarence H. Vann Jr. and Mildred Darlene Lewis and raised in Portsmouth, VA. There she graduated from Wilson High School and nursing school at Craddock Career and Technical Center (2004). She started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her years of dedication at Maryview Medical Center, Pediatrics, nursing homes, and Sentara has connected her with many. Not only was she a dedicated nurse but her devotion to motherhood showed through her two daughters Kiera Allen and Kayla Allen. She was blessed with her one and only grandson Andre Everett III, whom she loved with her entire heart.
Keyana spent over 20 years as a nurse and was recognized by her sweet soul and comforting personality. In 2022, after years of pursuing her nursing career; Keyana started a cruelty free lip care line named All Shades You. The business was in memory of her daughter Kiera Allen. She enjoyed fulfilling orders and seeing happy customers feel beautiful and confident in their favorite shades. In her free time, Keyana enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and spending time with loved ones.
Keyana embodied resilience, passion, selflessness, and love. She was an admirable mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, niece, sister and friend whom cherished family and friendship. Her trust and love for God showed up in many aspects of her life.
Keyana was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Waters; father, Clarence H. Vann Jr.; daughter, Kiera Allen and grandmother Mildred Wright Piece.
Keyana is survived by her daughter Kayla Allen (Heru Ward, fiancé); her grandson, Andre Everett III; grandmother, Vivian W. Weaver (Henry Weaver); four sisters, Linda Waters, Sylvia Vann, Chanda Carter(Carl Carter), and Ebonie Vann; six brothers, (Eric Lewis, Andre Waters (Veronica Waters), Larenz Waters, Darryl Brown, Julius Vann (Michele Vann), BJ Vann and a host of nephews, nieces, counts, aunts, uncles and friends.
