Kevin Thomas Harold Holmes

Kevin was called home on July 22, 2018. He fought a long battle until the Lord said, “Come and rest a little while.” Kevin was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He moved to Norfolk, VA with his grandfather the late Joseph Alfred Watson in 1989. This is where Kevin met his wife Tammy Holmes their next-door neighbor.
Kevin and Tammy started a family and moved to grandy village section of Norfolk. They met many friends living in that community. Kevin attended Norview High School. Then working all his young life to provide for his children. No job was too little or big he always found a way to take care of his family. He worked at Blue Chanel Crab, Mary Jane Bakery, Reddy Ice, General Foam Plastics, Dollar Tree Warehouse, Freedom Ford until he settled as a fork lift operator/warehouse freezer unloader with PLS/ Capstone Logistics/ MDV Nash Finch.
Kevin leaves to mourn his lovely wife, Tammy Holmes, six children; Shalisa Neal, Johnathan Neal (Lakesha), Tiara Neal, Kevin Neal, Tahja Holmes and Khammarri Pryor, two grandchildren; Seniya Little and Johnathan Neal Jr. and an expecting grandson, Jamir Hatten. his mother; Carolyn Watson, his father; Kevin Holmes Sr. (Gwendolyn) Father Michael Johnson (Janice) three sisters; Iyesha Watson Reaves (Dewey), Chinina Amos- Powell, Shavonda Holmes; three brothers, Nifise “Jamal” Watson, Alterrick Amos, Brock Gambrel (Charlene); two nephews, Jahni & Jahod; two brothers-in-law, Wesley Jones & Van V. Moore (Tiffany).
He also leaves to cherish his favorite uncle, “Uncle Shoes” (Mary) and Uncle Junebug his favorite aunts; Patricia Watson, Joanne Crawford and Aunt Rosie. A loving aunt in-law; Sarah Newsome “Aunt Liz” and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. A host of special friends who had taken park in our lives we thank you.
