On Saturday, March 20th our heavenly father sent for his son, Kevin McDaniel.
Kevin was born November 14th, 1958, to the late Pryor McDaniel and Elnoria Sawyer McDaniel. Kevin is the second born of four children. Kevin attended Norfolk Public Schools in the 70’s, soon after Kevin took flight and traveled around becoming a jack of all trades, master of non. Kevin was the life of the party. He spent each Sunday watching whatever game that was on with his father. Kevin was known for his love for the New York Giants and wanting to grace the stage of the Funny Bone comedy club. Kevin’s ultimate goal was to make you smile.
In 1995 Kevin reconnected with his middle school crush Valerie Brown, not wanting any more time to pass Kevin married Valerie McDaniel in 1998.
To continue his legacy he leaves his three daughters, Brandi McDaniel of Virginia Beach, VA, Nikki Brown of Hampton, VA, and Shakela Brown of Stallings, NC and four grandson, E4 Specialist Demonte Brown of Fort Drum, NY, Jaylin Daniels and Camron Johnson of Stallings, NC and Jordan Banks of Hampton, VA, also known by his Pop Pop as “Buddy Roll”.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his brothers, Pryor McDaniel, Jr., Archic Armstrong and David Crudup; sisters, Diane McDaniel Waye (Kelvin), Avis McDaniel and Shelia Sawyer; sister-in-law, Lelia Williams and brother-in-law, John Brown; two nieces, Lakisha Holley and Katina Worlsey; three nephews, Darius Holley, Jaden Holley and Zyion Harmon and a host of cousins and friends.
Kevin has never met a stranger and always spreaded love and laughter. We all will miss him dearly.
