To the Sessoms family…Please accept my deepest condolences to your family. I worked with Kevin at NWDC since November 2015. Kevin was a great leader, that lead by example people just gravitated towards him. He was a great mentor to me, and he treated me like a son/little brother. I will always miss going into his office, and having our Godly conversations, football talks, and just many conversations where he imparted so much wisdom in me. His story telling was impeccable, and his funny laugh was so contagious. He had a heart of gold, and would give you the shirt off his back. Most of all he had a servants heart, and was willing to help anyone. He treated everyone with the same respect, no matter your rank, creed or color. Kevin was a God-fearing man so I know he’s in a better place…no more pain. Kevin I love you man, and you’ll truly be missed!!! Your family will definitely remain in my prayers daily.

To the Sessoms Family and loved ones,
I have worked with Kevin in my almost 5 years at NWDC, and can say the man I knew at work was very kind, always had the biggest smile and the most contagious laugh. I can only imagine how infectiously happy he made everyone in his home and church life just based on that, and how great of a loss his passing is to you. A very bright light was taken from this earth that now exists in the stars, and we will meet him again someday. Kevin will certainly be missed, and life in the office will be forever changed without his presence. My family sends prayers, love and support to you in your time of need. God bless you and be with you.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to the Sessoms Family. Kevin was my work brother, being a native from “The South West Philly” as I would say To Kevin. We shared memories of growing up in Philly, and Kevin being a neighbor from Jersey, we had a unique bond for our pitiful Eagles Lol!. I will miss the deep conversations we shared having church at work and the laughter we shared throughout the nine years working together. Kevin was a great friend with enthusiastic wisdom leaving you laughing in tears with his funny comments. My brother leaves a legacy behind that we all can say “well done my good and faithful servant”.

Kevin touched and blessed everyone he knew and met in such a beautiful way. You embodied wisdom, joy, love and vision? A man with a purpose driven life. Genuinely poured out the same love to everyone. Even hard truths to hear at times. Because he walked with purpose and a calling. That laugh, the comfort in words – as my daughter”s Godfather your presence will not be replaceable, but, your impact will last a lifetime. My heart breaks for my friend, your beautiful wife Darcel, who loves you so dearly. Your kids, grandkids and all of your family. But rest assured and live victoriously in Heaven Sir! You have fulfilled what God placed in you, and because so, God will watch over them and we all will be there in every way we can. Rest well Sir.

Sending our deepest sympathy to the family during this difficult time. I met Kevin on the USS Detroit in 1994-95 on a Med Cruise. I was part of the Air detachment and we alway use to refer to him as a young Spike Lee because of the plays and productions he put on. I’ll never forgot the one Black History month production that we were in together. He made that the most memorable Cruise for all of us in the detachment. Your watch is over now Kevin, rest in peace my friend.
