Kenny Lee Winborne, affectionately known as K, Da, Papa, Clint, Black, and Pops, 55, was called home on Monday, September 12, 2022. Kenny was born on January 11, 1967, in Franklin, Virginia to the late John Henry Winborne Jr. and Sylvia Lee Winborne.
He was educated in Chesapeake Public Schools and employed at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 15 years. Kenny was also an employee of Smithfield Foods for 25 years. Kenny enjoyed karate and was very talented at drawing. He was a Dallas Cowboys fanatic. One of his favorite pass times was listening to music and enjoying a nice, hot meal. Kenny loved everyone and no matter what the conversation was, he would always crack a joke. He was greatly respected for his loving, caring, giving, kind, and silly spirit.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Diann Denice Winborne, one daughter; Nefretiri “Tiri” Pope, two sons; Kenny “Big Dude” Winborne (Diamond) and Kemar “Mal” Winborne, and four grandsons; Christian “Mama’s Boy” Daniels, Xavion “Bae-bae” Pope, Jayson Rivera, and Jeremiah “Babe” Winborne.
He was the third of eighteen children, Earnest “Morgan” Boykins, John Winborne, Alvin “Bozo” Winborne, Orvin “Pee Pee” Winborne, Robin “Rob” Pope (Quentin), Stirling “Main” Winborne, Tammy Williams (Ramon), Darius “D” Winborne, Gregory “Greg” Winborne, Travis Winborne, Jatanna “J” Holland (Travis), Lashawn “Big Guy” Winborne, Eric Winborne, Sheila Powell (Paul), Keisha “Keke” Winborne, Tanisha “Ne-Ne” Winborne, Tony Winborne (Patrice), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
