Kenneth Lee Hines

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, God called Kenneth Lee Hines home so that he would suffer no more. “Kenny” was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandpa. “Kenny” was known for his hard work and dedication he loved his football team “The Bengals”. “Kenny” attended Manor High, where he played football and ran track, dominating both sports. “Kenny attended NSU where he majored in electrical engineering soon after that, Kenny” joined the Navy and served with honors, he also worked for Virginia Power and retired in the mid-90s, Kenny also worked for Norfolk Naval Shipyard where he also retired in 2021. Kenny was predeceased by his mother Katie Mae Hines and his stepdaughter Ebony Askew. Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife Tonya Askew-Hines; father: John Hines, brother: Aaron Hines two children: Kendra A. Hines and Kahlill J. Hines. Two grandsons: Nyle and Noah Womack, and a host of cousins and nieces, and friends.

    To the family of Kenny: it was a pleasure to know you. What a good electrician. This old world is filled with sickness and struggles. Jehovah our Almighty father promises he will correct that in due time. Looking forward to seeing loved ones again in the reservation.

    Tonya i’m sending my dearest condolences to you and family.
    Kenney was the kindess person i know. I remeber the day it snowed and he wiped all the snow off from my car and even the back lights.
    that stayed with me forever!you have my thoughts and prayers.
