Kenneth Lamar Hampton

Sunrise: August 3, 1966

Sunset: April 9, 2025

Kenneth Hampton, better known as “Kenny,” departed unexpectedly at his cherished home in Suffolk, VA, on April 9, 2025. Kenny was 58 years old and born in Cleveland, OH.

Kenny is survived by his Forever, Carolyn Biles; two children, Kenneth and Alex; three grandchildren; one sister, Diane Gray; two brothers, Terry and Tyrone Hampton; his best friend, Tiffany, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Maye Hampton.

After serving in the United States Navy for 20 years, Kenny redirected his skills, love, and energy as a Maintenance Supervisor for his Senior Community. Whatever his seniors needed/wanted, he was there for them. One of Kenny’s favorite sayings every day was “I love my Seniors.” He began his dedication at the Pines of York and later transferred to the Orchards for his remaining six years here on earth. He was loved, cherished, and appreciated by all.

Kenny found a tremendous amount of joy by simply relaxing, caring for his beloved fish, all of which were named Carolyn, and cheering for the Cleveland Browns/Cavaliers. Kenny had a giving heart and a caring soul. He enjoyed cooking, challenging new projects, and traveling to his favorite places, such as Cruising and Niagara Falls, NY.

Kenny opened his heart to all. He embraced his Virginia Family with open arms. He was known to us all as “Grandaddy Perp.” He offered love and support at any time, but he always stated, “You know what I do when I get off work.” Mr. Kenny’s heart was made of gold; He will be severely missed, and in the words of his forever…” I love you, Mr. Kenny, until we meet again…”

This was such a shock to the Orchards of Belleharbour community. Kenny was such a light and was always eager to go over and above for the residents he took pride in serving. My mom was one of them and she was and still is heartbroken by his passing. Please know we are praying for the family and holding them close to our hearts and in our thoughts. Mr Kenny will truly be missed.
