Kendra T. Price

Sunrise: January 30, 1975

Sunset: September 13, 2018

Kendra, affectionately known as Shaun, suddenly departed her earthly home Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.  Kendra was born January 30, 1975 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to George L. Price, Jr. and Deborah M. Price.  She was the oldest of three siblings.

Kendra was educated in the Chesapeake Public School System and graduated from Oscar F. Smith High School in 1993.  She held various positions in the customer service industry.  Her ultimate passion was cooking.  She often talked about enrolling in culinary school to become a chef.  Kendra loved cooking and preparing meals for her family and showing off her cooking skills for her friends.  She would voluntarily teach you her recipes step by step and even buy the ingredients for you.  That’s just how kind she was.

She was blessed with her two angels, her two children Tamia Kirshaun Spearman and Trevon Keshaun Price.  They were truly her entire world.  Kendra made single motherhood look easy.  She was the true definition of a good mother.  Her courage and strength exceeded all her worries.  She exhibited an abundance of unconditional love towards her children and taught then to do the same towards each other.  She was truly their best friend.

She loved everybody and treated everybody just as she wished to be treated if not better!  She had a kind forgiving spirit like no other.  She never met a stranger.  Kendra always comforted and encouraged others that things were going be alright.  She was truly a blessing to all she encountered.

If trials and tribulations knocked her down she would get back up with a smile.  She had all the faith you need.  A beautiful soul indeed.  Kendra was the best person that you could ever ask for.  Most importantly, a child of the highest God!

Kendra’s memory will forever be cherished by her children Tamia K. Spearman and Trevon K. Price; father George Price, Jr.; mother Deborah M. Price; two sisters Adama W. Price and Ciera A. Price; her fiancé Wilson Barnett; grandmother Rebecca Evans;  three nephews Mallory, Adontae and Javien; two nieces Azaeviah and Ariyanna; eight aunts Brenda, Sharon, Meryle Kaye, Beaulah, Eaulah, Mary, Lorraine and Queenie; and one uncle Travis; and a host of special cousins, family and friends.
