Keith Eugene Cartwright was born to Basil Cox and Lillian Cartwright on December 17, 1963 in Norfolk, Virginia. Keith attended Norfolk Public Schools and, in his early years, worked at various jobs.
Keith was known and loved by many, and he had friends all over this area. He loved music, especially Reggae and Rock music. During his younger days, he enjoyed playing the guitar. Keith was particularly devoted to his family and loved spending time with his nieces.
Keith is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by two sisters, Joyce Myers (Ronald), Ruth Dancy; one brother, Jerry Cartwright, one son, Keith Eugene Scott, whom he affectionally called “Y’Dada, one niece, Ebony Lawrence; one nephew, Ronald J.T. Myers (Shambri); great nieces and nephew, Destiny, Lia, and Jamar; special children, Rashauna Ward, Jewayne Ward, Kendra Ward; special friends, James “Shorty” Ward, Anthony Fonville, Kenneth Fonville, Clarence Fonville, and many cousins and friends.
