It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Katrina Wade on November 8, 2024. Born on January 3, 1981, Katrina was a beloved member of our community, known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
Katrina’s life was filled with remarkable achievements and cherished memories. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion. Her dedication to her family, friends, and community was evident in everything she did. Katrina’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she impacted.
Professionally, Katrina was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 25 years, working with dedication and compassion at three different facilities. Her commitment to providing
excellent care and support to her patients was truly commendable, In September 2024, Katrina graduated from Merchant Seaman, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Katrina’s greatest joy was her family. She often said, “We gone get this family together,” and her ultimate goal was to create a better future for her loved ones. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She loved spending time with her extended family on the many King spa trips taken over the years. Her daughter, who was also her best friend, held a special place in her heart Katrina also enjoyed spending time with her favorite cousin, Fontara Wade. Family was everything to her outside of caring for her patients at work.
She will be missed by all who knew her. Katrina is survived by her loving daughter, Keayla Wade; her son, Sirr Wright Jr.; her mother, Pamela Wade Brown; her father, Clifton Bolden; her brothers, Randell Wade (Sade Hinton Wade), Shawnta Wade (Keosha Thornton Wade), and Brandon Wade; her sisters, Tandra Speller and Tiana Speller and her grandchildren, Tayquion Almond Jr. and Jaide Almond. November 29, 2024 at 10:49 amI met Katrina as a teen ager. She was strong, kind & loved her family. She had dreams & was determined to make them come true. I saw her after she started her career & she told me about her “baby girl.” She was happy. I was very sad to hear of her senseless passing, but comforted to learn she knew the great comforter, Jesus. May your memories of her keep you & know God’s comfort is like no other. ๐๐ฝโค๏ธ
