Julia M. McEachin

During the early morning hours of Sunday, October 21st, 2018, the Angel of Silence took our beloved, Sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Julia Mae McEachin, known by Judy, was born at Norfolk Community Hospital in Norfolk, VA on September 6th, 1955 to the late Mr. Robert Lee McEachin and Dorothy McEachin.

Judy was educated in the Norfolk public school system.  She graduated from Norview High School in 1973.  In the early 1980’s she started as a secretary for the city of Chesapeake sanitation department and then later she finished her lustrous career at LifeTouch National School Studios which is also in the  City of Chesapeake.

Judy is proceeded by her parents as well as her Loving sister Mildred McEachin-Norman.  But she leaves behind her loving family, two dedicated sons Monet (Mo) McEachin of Norfolk Va and Jackie (Jack) McEachin of Norfolk Va. Three brothers; Robert Lee McEachin Jr. of Norfolk, Va, Edwin (Boo-Boo) McEachin of Norfolk, Va and Dave McEachin of Norfolk Va.  Three surviving sisters; Sandra Appling of Norfolk, VA, Nancy Brooks of Richmond, VA and Dorthea (Gee-Gee) McEachin of Norfolk VA and three grandsons; Jaylen McEachin, Deshaun McEachin  and (Honorary grandson) Courtney Coleman.  She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and a ton of friends, closest Lequel Major-Starks, Antionnette (Brome) Jamison and Mildred Wilson.

Although Julia Mae McEachin’s journey on this earth has ended, we will continue to celebrate her legacy of Love commitment, family and dignity.

    It is still hard to believe that we have lost Judy losing Mildred was bad and this is worse it seems our void is getting bigger I will miss her so much and she always be in my heart. Rest In the Arms of Our Lord my cousin.

    Julia, was a co-worker and a friend. She was the glue for her family and a hard worker. She loved her family and she would always help anyone who needed a helping hand she will be tuly be missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace Julia. God knows best. To the family my condolences to you during this time.
