On Saturday, October 21, 2023, surrounded by family, God sent his loving angels for our beloved mother, grandmother, auntie, and sister to come home to be with his heavenly father.
Juanita was born November 9, 1938, to the late William and Janie Holland. She was educated in the Norfolk County/Chesapeake school system. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and became a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Chesapeake, VA where she participated in various auxiliaries.
Juanita was affectionately known as “Neat” to all her family and friends. She had an infectious laugh; when she found something to be humorous, you could hear her laughter throughout the home.
Juanita leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Debi Harris (Frank), Kathleen, GA; son Reginald Holland (Janine), Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Barbara Murphy (Willie-Lee), Chesapeake, VA; Mary Banks, Washington, DC; two grandchildren, Dr. Brandalynn Holland, D.O., Kansas City, MO; Reginald Holland, III, Clarksville, TN, James Yarbra (spouse), and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Our Mother
When God was making mothers,
He must have made a fuss.
He spent a lot of time on one,
And gave that one to us.
Of all the gifts in life,
However great or small
To have you as our mother
Was the greatest gift of all.
Because you were so special,
No words could ever say,
How much we love and miss you,
Today and every day.
. . . until we see you again, Debi and Red

November 16, 2023 at 5:53 pmI am so sorry to read about this loss. She was so sweet to me the 17 years I lived across from her in Waterview. I just happened to see this as I was searching for someone else. I would’ve made my way to her services if I’d known.
