Our beloved Jovia Nicole’ Keys silently slipped into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 18, 2019. Jovia was born January 20, 1992 in Norfolk, VA at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Jovia accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA. Jovia was a 2010 High School Honor graduate for Churchland High School and a 2014 graduate of
Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where she received her degree in Psychology. Jovia’s desire was to be a Nurse Practitioner (NP). In 2016 Jovia enrolled in Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond, VA to pursue her degree in nursing. Jovia enjoyed cooking and traveling and was talented in visual and erforming art.
Jovia is survived by her parents, Lavania Keys Diggs and Anthony P. Diggs; brother, London P. Diggs; grandparents, Glen and Mary Keys and Mary S. Diggs; her very special great-great aunt, Victoria Thomas; aunts, Shirley Keys Wells (Curtis) and Stefanie Diggs; cousin, Alesia Diggs; two very close and special friends, Crystal Edmonds and Tikeem Jefferys along with a host of other relatives and friends.
