Through life he overcame many adversities including his illness, and handled it all with dignity and grace. He never complained and was always positive. He was an inspiration to many. Joe grew up at Queen Street Baptist Church and served as an Alter Boy and Boy Scouts in his young years. He loved his church family at Faith Deliverance Christian Center, Dr. Sharon Riley and Bishop Barbara Amos. He was a dedicated member and served in the parking lot ministry until his illness prevented participation. Joe never met a stranger and would carry on a conversation with anyone he met.

He had a smile that could lift the hearts of a whole room. We Thank God for his life and will cherish the memories.

My deepest condolences to Joe’s family and friends. Joe and I grew up in Queen Street Baptist Church, we served as alter boys, in the choirs, boy scouts and any position that needed us in the church. Joe was a good person and friend, most I remember about him laughing at my “corny jokes”.
My GOD bless his family and R.I.P.
