Jonathan Lee Bassette, 29, born June 19, 1991 departed this life on November 14, 2020 onto his heavenly reward. He was born to Darlene Winston – Snead and Barry L. Bassette in Petersburg, VA. He went on to receive his GED and as a child he knew the Lord and could quote the chapters of the bible at two years old. Jonathan grew up in Norfolk, VA, a loving son, father, and friend. Preceding him in death is his grandparents; Joh and Otelia Taylor, grandfathers, Harold Lee Bassette and David Lee Winston, and uncle, Alvin Lee Winston.

Left to cherish his special memories is his mother, Darlene Winston – Snead; father, Barry L. Bassette (Jennifer); daughters, Nylah Bassette, Naveen Burden, Amber Anaya Rose Simons; sons, Jaleel and Jabari Bassette and Jayceon Johnson; brothers, Terry T. Winston, LeAnthony T. Winston, Barry L. Edmonds, Sebastian Bassette, Dante Bassette; sisters; Melana Bassette, Clara Bassette, Keosha Williams; grandmothers, Doris Virginia Winston and Joyce Wilkins; uncles, David Winston and Jesse Winston (Charlene); aunts, Eva Thigpen (Brian), Annie Royel (Nehye), and Jewel Hinton and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and family and friends.
