Johnny A. Warren, Sr. departed this life on June 29, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, VA. Johnny A. Warren was born on May 6, 1955 in Fort Bragg, NC to Helen Paterson and the late Johnnie Wilbert Warren. At a young age Johnny A. Warren known as (Spooler) moved to Newark, NJ where he attended South 10th Street School in Newark, NJ. He graduated from Maple Ave School in Newark then attended Weequahic High School where he received his diploma in 1972. Then Johnny A. Warren followed his passion to join the Airforce in 1972 and resided in Florida. On June 26, 1976 Johnny a. Warren married Michelle Wilson in Newark, NJ out of the marriage three boys were conceived.

After serving 6 years in the military he attended Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, VA for one year. Johnny worked as a retail salesperson and a Hydroelectric plant technician in VA. Returning to his passion in 1981 Johnny A. Warren joined the U. S. Army where he served 5 years. Johnny attended church and coached many sports. A very good listener to many and President of the Senior Citizens building on Tidewater Drive in Norfolk, He loved to fish and cook and enjoyed his family and friends.

Johnny A. Warren was predeceased by his father, Johnnie Wilbert Warren and son, Antione D. Warren.
Johnny leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Michelle J. Warren; mother, Helen Paterson; sons, Johnny Warren, Jr. and Jason J. Warren; grandchildren, Jerrell Harrell, Jasmine Torres, Jeniah Warren, Malik Bey, Camille Warren and Jason Warren, II; great grands, Janae Harrell and Isis Robinson-Warren; brothers, Calvin Warren and Renny (BoBo) Warren; sisters, Fannie Warren and Cynthia Warren; aunt Shirley McCory; sisters-in-law, Debra Warren (Pooh) and Izeaner “Zeana” Warren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
