My fondness memory of Johnnie was his willingness to help senior citizens traveling on day trips to casinos. He helped everyone with a smile. Some things you will never forget. Take your rest my Brother. If it’s God’s will, I’ll see you on the other side.

February 4, 2021 at 8:56 pmI would like to send prayers and condolences to my family at the passing of my Uncle Johnnie. He was so full of life and loved to cook. One of my fondest memories of him as a child was when he would take me and my brother fishing. Til this day, I can bait a hook because of him. I will miss his smile, his zest for life, his cooking, and his singing. Continue singing in heaven, Uncle Johnnie. You will be missed. Your niece, Shannon

February 5, 2021 at 4:23 pmTo The Family of My Song Bird, My Buddy, My Pal, My Friend my family and I extend our condolences to you. Johnnie was fun and a enjoyable person who was always Johnny on the Spot to help out when called upon or not. This chicken, fish frying buddy was always cooking something and would make sure he told you not to miss out. If he was in Church serving as a Usher, Singing a Solo or helping with something he never said no. He will be truly missed with his all the time smile and waving to everybody.
He was a true mentor for my grandson Clemonte’ Baker “Where’s my Lil Man” he would say, who he started up in the Men’ Choir at St. Paul to sing with them.
Yes missed he will be. Resting In Heaven He Is.
Love and Blessings
