Johnnie Clements, Jr. was born March 17, 1956 to Johnnie and Carrie Clements and grew up in Norfolk, VA. He graduated from Lake Taylor High School in 1974. He worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and
retired from there in 2019. Johnnie was a loving grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and great grandfather.
He loved his family, which includes his shipyard co-workers. He enjoyed spending his time playing cards with his close friends.
Johnnie is predeceased by his parents, Johnnie and Carrie Clements; a son, Juawann Coward, Sr. and brother Ralph Clements. He leaves to cherish is memories, his son Mario Ellison, four grandchildren, Markeisha Ellison, Yolisia Ellison, Mya Ellison and Juawann Coward, Jr.; two great granddaughters, Nova and Skye Barnes; two brothers, James Clements and Cardell Ramsey; sister, Corine Drummond; his girlfriend, Deborah Brown and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

I first met Johnnie at the shipyard dispensary during his annual physical. He was always charming, polite, funny and kind. Johnnie loved to talk about his motorcycle riding and family.
