John Floyd Banks was called home to rest August 16,2019. He was born November 17, 1945 to William and Pearl Sr. in Hampton, VA. He attended Hampton and New Jersey (Wildwood) schools.
As a young man John enjoyed fishing and crabbing. He was also a commercial fisherman as well. He loved being in the boat on the open sea. John loved cooking and adored church at Gateward Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was an ordained Deacon under Bishop Basnight at New Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.
John Banks was predeceased by his parents and siblings William T. and Pearl Banks Sr. Brothers: William T. Banks Jr, Joseph Banks, James Banks; sisters: Dorothy Banks-Washington, Margret Banks Toliver, Flora Banks Randell, Clarabelle Banks Armstead, Doris Banks Pennington, Alura Banks Parker.
John Banks leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Brenda Banks of 14 years. Daughters JoAnn Coney (Michael), Lizzie Roulhac, Allie Mae Brown, Christine Foster, Sons; Carnell Vaughan, Leonard Roulhac and Linwood Foster; sister Patricia Banks Patterson of Loganville, GA; brother Leroy Banks of Newport News,VA , sister-in-law Rose Banks of Glen Heights, TX; Aunt Florence Hawkins of Upper Marlboro, MD; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
