Miss Jessie Mae Johnson went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2019. She was born August 27, 1935 to William H. and Sarah C. Johnson. She attended Abraham Lincoln Elementary where she transferred to St. Joseph Catholic School. From there she went to Norfolk State University, she never worked in the main stream workforce, but entered into the ministry. She also was an personal assistant to Pastor Gladys H. Custis with whom she also resided. She was a member of New Hope COGIC.
She is predeceased by her mother and father; three brothers, Robert Ruffin, George C. Coleman and Willie L. Coleman; three sisters, Rebecca D. Brown, Eunice Johnson and her twin Elizabeth Coleman. Left to cherish her precious memories are a host of relatives and friends.
