Elder Jessie J. Goodman, of Norfolk, VA departed this life on July 20, 2022. He was born on November 13, 1938 to the late Norman E. & Beatrice Goodman.
Jessie J. Goodman was a loving & caring son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was a dedicated member to the Church of Christ, Apostolic Faith in Norfolk, Virginia.
A native to Princess Anne County, Virginia he met and married the late Mary Skinner Speller Goodman on October 11, 1975 gaining 10 children. They were married for 23 long, beautiful years.
He later remarried Gustelia Goodman on October 21, 2004 gaining 6 more children.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Bishop Gustelia Goodman; five daughters, Catherine Wiggins, April Brown, Nikeya Richardson, Lynnetta Clark (James), and Kimyetta Rodgers; three sons, Jessie W. Speller, Robert Speller, and Willie Rodgers, III (Monica); one sister, Beulah Wilson and a host of grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by six sisters, Rosa Russell, Viola Jones, Ethel Burfort, Mary Goodman, Dorothy Sanderson, Ernestine Medley; two brothers; Norman E. Goodman, Jr. and John Goodman; and eight children, James Edward Speller, Bernell Speller Sr, Mary Godfrey, Bernice Sessoms, Roxanna Johnson, Queenie Wilder, Bishop Sweetie P. Gardner and LaChaunda Piper.
Elder Goodman would light up any room with his smile and vibrant spirit. He was well known in his community and fellowshipped with many surrounding church families. He never forgot a birthday and he loved everyone unconditionally. He will truly be missed by those who love him.

    Uncle Jessie was a man of god . His heart was filled with the holy spirit. He loved people and they loved him.
