Jeremy Jerel Floyd, 29, son of Kenneth and Valerie Floyd Sr., was born on February 28, 1991 in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
He departed this life on Saturday, August 22, 2020 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Jeremy attended the public schools in Newport News, Virginia.

After graduating from Woodside High School, he attended Tidewater Community College to study Criminal Justice. Jeremy will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We will miss his magnetic smile, his grand personality and friendly disposition, that made him a loveable person. He enjoyed, playing basketball, writing music, playing video games and was a student of the culinary arts. Jeremy was a devoted father to his beloved daughter Jekiyah.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Floyd Jr, his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Odessa Titus, his
maternal grandfather, Rev, John Q. McLean, Jr., and his Aunt Desiree M. Seymore.

Jeremy leaves to cherish his life: his parents, Kenneth and Valerie Floyd Sr.,one daughter Jekiyah Floyd; one brother, Ronald Brown Jr.; one sister, Shaquera Cunningham, four nieces; RaDashia (Tony) Majette, N’Dia Brown, Makaela Worley, Simone Joyner, and one nephew, Christian Palmer; his maternal grandmother Esther S. McLean, two aunts, Dildra Lax and Wendy McLean; two uncles, Terry (Bessie) McLean, Derrick McLean.; along with a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special friend Maurita C. Ward.

“May Jehovah God, our Father, give us strength in this our time of need, courage still to follow where the paths of living lead;
knowledge deep and certain, that though loved ones go before, we shall meet them once more.”

    this breaks my heart, i have a lot i had left to say to you, we’ve went thru a lot of,we were together for 5 years & i always thought i was gonna marry you one day jeremy i love you so much you changed my life & i’ll never forget you being there for me when my dad died i think about you daily just know you will live forever thru me my condolences to your family & to jekiyah
