In the late afternoon hours on Saturday, March 11, 2023, our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend, Jennifer Annette Johnson went home to eternal rest. She was born on December 3, 1956 in Portsmouth General Hospital to Ms. Maggie Lee Langley.
She was educated in Portsmouth Public Schools.
Annette, as she was respectively known as, was a hard worker, family oriented, loyal, straight forward, sweet person, loved by her family and friends.
Her mother, Maggie Lee Langley; her oldest sister, Ms. Betty Bethly; two brothers, Mr. Melvin Langley and Robert Langley and one nephew, Joseph Bethly, preceded Jennifer in death.
Jennifer leaves to cherish her loving memories to her lifelong partner, Mr. Harrison Lassiter, Jr; her four adorable children, LaToya, Lamont, Jamaal and Katisha Johnson; five granddaughters, LaKia, Laila, LeTecia, LaTavia and LaShell; three sisters, Gloria Jean Smith, Deloris Saunders (Ronald) and Denise Langley-Tatem (Jack); two brothers, Mr. Kenneth Langley and Mr. Richard Langley; her favorite pup, Denny.
