Jean was an entrepreneur who was never afraid of risk, and always shared the labors with love and rewards. She received her education from Norfolk Public School System. She was an active member of Redeemed Christian Fellowship (Norfolk, Virginia). Jean was short in statue, but tall in her actions and speech. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, shopping, eating at fine restaurants, but most importantly she had a personal relationship with God. She exercised her faith by continuously being a sister’s keeper. Words that best describe Jean are: generous, loving, strong, outspoken, empathetic, determined, and reliable. If you truly knew Jean, you knew she loved to shine and shimmer; she was worth far more than rubies.
Jean was predeceased by her father Ossie Jones, husband Tracy Whitfield, and her brother Quentin Jones. She leaves to cherish her memories to: her mother Clara Mae Jones; a daughter Tiera Jones; three sons, Deshawn and KeShawn Jones, and Tony Ramsey; a sister Jackie Jones-Naveda (Rick); three brothers- Robert and Keith Jones and Walter Border; seven granddaughters, Alexis, Jahmya, Keani, London, Loyal, and Kenzley; and four grandsons, Javeon, Zyshawn, Zyquan, and Tracy. Jean will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends and a special friend Denise Lawrence.
