Janie Denise “Neicy” Boone Taylor of Suffolk, VA, well known for her athletic prowess at John F. Kennedy High School and Norfolk State University, died July 22, 2020, at her home in Germantown, MD. She was 61 years old.

“While it is extremely difficult to express how devastating it is to lose Neicy, our family remains so very grateful to have been blessed with such a wonderful human being.” Neicy touched so many lives as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and athlete.

“Neicy was a person with a courageous spirit, a giving heart and love for everyone. We are so proud of her accomplishments, but even more proud of her character, integrity, humility and kindness.”

She is survived by her Husband, Jerome; daughter, Ashley; 5 brothers, Herbert (Erma), Bobby (Rosemary), Edward (Cynthia), Cornell (Crystal), Leland; 3 sisters, Angelia (Eley), Tammy (Tim); Special Niece, LaTonya (Nelson) and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

    I am so sorry to hear about Janie’s passing. I worked with Janie and she was always happy and never stopped smiling! Everyone at work enjoyed seeing Janie every day. She was always helping others out. We will pray for Janie’s family and miss her dearly. May the Lord bless Janie and her family and keep her safely by his side.

    I have fond memories of Neicey as a neighbor in the 70′, she was one of my daughter, Sharon Hill-Walker’ best friend. Neicey visited my home many times and it was always a joy to have there, she was a lovely person. To the family, Be Blessed!!!
