James was a longtime friend of mine… I met him 20+ years ago, no, he was more than a friend to me, he was family. He was family to a lot of us, too many people to count… but id like to mention just a few of us that were very close to him, and the impact of losing him cuts very deep for his best friends and brothers, BK and Charlie, his loving daughter, Sophia, and his four grandsons, Davion, Papi, Kevin and Ayden, who were his pride and joy and the light of his life. Hes also survived by his girlfriend Shannon and her daughters Myah and Syerra and many many others… like Me (Tina) & Ginn, Maria, Mickie, and countless people I don’t even know, because when we say he knew EVERYBODY, he knew EVERYBODY. and he was so loved and respected by so many and he will truly be missed by all of us… We all love you, Big Homie… I will take good care of the dogs, your babies, and I know that you’d want me to have Rock. I’ve got him and he’ll be with me until he can come back to you. I’m not gonna let anyone split them up either. They lost you, and they need one another more than ever now. I hope we’re all doing what you wouldve wanted. You didn’t tell us, so we dont know so we’re winging it and hoping we make you proud. I really love and miss you and i wish i could get one more hug, one more goofy ass laugh or toothy smile… I hope you know that i love you and i miss you sooo much… and I will never forget you or allow you to be forgotten. I promise. ❤️ 💛 💚 rest in paradise.

To the family and all who knew and loved Emmanuel. I am the first cousin of his late beloved Clarence Sutton. I am family also. I only met James a few times when he was a child and later at his dad’s funeral. And I have found memories of his late mom Mable and his other siblings. May the many prayers on his behalf and family help bring some measure of comfort. Nahum 1:7 tells us God is a strong hold in the day of distress.
