James Edward Lindsey, III

Sunrise: January 29, 1984

Sunset: October 20, 2024

James (Jbo) Lindsey was born on January 29, 1984, to the late James Lindsey II and Denise Pry.  James was educated at the Norfolk Public School.  He worked with his Dad until he became the Boss/CEO of Collective Health Wellness. During his time on earth, he enjoyed the many family cookouts and trips, where you will find him on the grill.  He was always reminiscing on how he enjoyed the working days with his father and singing with his mother.  Jbo loved a debate, No one could have a debate like Jbo, Boo Boo, and Rico. Jbo always had a listening ear and can also talk your ear off.  He was a loving, devoted father to the needs of his family and a dedicated friend. He would always say: “Blood makes you related. Loyalty makes you family”. Jbo kept a grit; behind it was a big smile. And his “Bros,” as he called them…Ernest Carter, Al Deshawn Gadsden, Emanuel Boomer, Basil Gadsden, Darius Keene, and Shallah Seaborn could attest to this very thing. Jbo always believed “FOE” Family over everything. James leaves to cherish his mother, Denise Pry; grandfather, James Lindsey Sr.; his wife, DeShonna Lindsey; six daughters, Dashonna Dayonna, Tiyonna Holley,(A’Shanta Ore) Jaziya, Zion, Semaj Lindsey, all of Norfolk, VA; one son, DaKingg. James Lindsey of Norfolk, VA; two grandkids, Khamiri and Dequann; one special brother, Monturi (Tinee) Holloway; two brothers, Carlos (Femi) Lindsey, and predeceased in death, Milton Thomas; three sisters, Monique, Eboni, and his twin “Joy” and he held a special bond with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host other relatives and friends.

My heart goes out to the family of this beautiful young man whom I had the privilege of knowing. Personally, I know a big void is gaping in your life right now, but please try to understand and believe in God’s plan I pray that God gives you the strength to endure these tumultuous days ahead and I believe that his grace and mercy will be all that you need in your times of weakness. Always remember to call on him and to lean and believe in his word and feel his comfort. I love you guys and God loves you more.

The day I got the news I couldn’t believe it and here we are today, I still cannot believe it. He was not supposed to go out this way he was too good of a ! I met him eight years ago. He always treated me like a little sister gave me the best advice and set me straight when I was in the wrongHe was always so supportive and understanding. He was a great man with a great heart who loved his family and his friends and was the definition of loyalty! I can’t count the times he has talked me off the edge, or saved my life with his words of wisdom and his unparalleled insight! The world will be a little bit darker with you not in it.. you were family to me. My heart goes out to your wife and children as you are the biggest family man I ever knew and there’s nothing you didn’t do for them you all are in our thoughts and prayers
