On the evening of Saturday, May 10, 2025, the angel of the Lord called home our beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, James Alton Jones, to his heavenly rest.

James was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on October 7, 1963, to the late Ashley Allen Jones, Sr., and Lucille Brown Jones. He attended Norfolk Public Schools and was employed for many years at Stanley Home Furnishings Inc.

Affectionately known as “Ooshey” by family and friends, James was a loving and protective Man, full of humor and heart. He was a caring father, a wonderful brother, and a supportive friend.
