Jacqueline L. Ricks made her earthly appearance on August 13, 1964, to Preston and Annie Ricks in the city of Portsmouth, Virginia. She was called home to glory on October 17, 2024, to be with her heavenly father.
Jackie was educated in the Portsmouth Public School System. Jackie attended Tidewater Community College and Norfolk State University for a while. Jackie was a faithful Christian and was a member of Word Outreach Ministries in Portsmouth. She also was once a member of Miracle of Faith Independent. Jackie worked for the Department of Defense for many years.
Jackie was predeceased by her father, Preston L. Ricks. She leaves to cherish her loving memories one son Darnell Coger, Grandson Noah Coger; Her mother Annie B. Kent, and her Stepfather, Walter R. Kent Sr.; Two brothers, Bryan Ricks (Diane) and Preston Ricks (Yolanda); A stepbrother, Walter R. Kent Jr (Yolanda) and stepsister Marcy M. Spencer (Aaron) and a host of, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws and dear friends.
Jackie enjoyed old TV shows and, most importantly, spending time with her grandson Noah. Jackie had a passion for life and family that compared to no other. She loved seeing and spending time with family and friends, laughing, joking, eating, and having fun. Jackie will be missed deeply, but she WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
