    A WONDERFUL GRANDMA
    We had a wonderful grandmother
One who never really grew old
Her smile was made of sunshine
And her heart was solid gold
Her eyes were bright as shining stars
And in her cheeks fair roses you see.
    We had a wonderful grandmother,
And that’s the way it will always be.
    But take heed, because
She’s still keeping an eye on all of us,
    So let’s make sure
She will like what she sees.

Condolences to all my cousins and family members. Aunt Hilda was a Christian warrior who helped everyone. My parents, Eva and Oakley, lived with Uncle Sam and Aunt Hilda after they married, until they could find a place of their own. Mom always discussed their good times together. I am glad that I took mom to visit her a few years ago. I remember her showing us so many albums with so many past experiences. Lovingly,

My Aunt Hilda has always had a kind and peaceful spirit. She had a true love for God and a heart of a servant. If you were hungry she gave you food. If needed a place to stay she gave you a bed. She will be missed but never forgotten. The Diggs Family.

We thank God for Aunt Hilda’s life.
1 Peter 3:3,4 Do not let your adornment be merely outward arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel, rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
    Love,

I remember Mrs.Hilda from the neighborhood. She was always the same–sweet and quiet. I never heard her raise her voice. I remember when she and Mrs. Josie worked in the cafeteria at Cavalier Manor Elementary School. That was some good food. The homemade cakes and home made rolls were excellent. I will miss her from standing in the door and waving.
