On Thursday, June 13, 2019 our beloved Herbert Lee Blowe departed this life to be with the Lord. Herbert was born on April 19, 1941 in Norfolk County, VA to the late Robert Blowe, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Coleman. He attended Crestwood High School. Robert was later employed by Door Engineering Corporation as a hollow metal mechanic and retired in 1992 after 30 years of faithful service. He was a lifelong member of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church. HE served as a Trustee, a member of the Male Chorus and Inspirational Choir. He was a devoted family man and loved by all who knew him. H brought joy to the lives he touched. He was a “jack of all trades”. He was blessed with insight and stamina to build and repair almost anything. He was an electrician, landscaper, painter, auto mechanic, hvac technician, you name it he did it. Perfection was his standard. He took pride in his work.
Left to cherish Herbert’s memory is his wife, Violet Blowe of Chesapeake, VA; one daughter, Stephanie Holmes (Howard); of Chesapeake, VA; one son, Jason Blowe (Malinda) of Portsmouth, VA; one stepson, Hermon Drumgoole; three grandchildren, Antonio Griffin, Angel Reid and Jazmyne Williams.
