On May 11, 2019 9:10pm God called to rest our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, Hattie M. Harrison Clinkscales. She was
born on March 9, 1934 to very proud parents Robert Harrison and Nellie M. Harrison in the area of Jacksonville, North Carolina. She worked cleaning banks in downtown Norfolk, CNA, also she worked at Norfolk General Hospital for 42 years as a dietitian. My mother was a fun loving person and loved by everyone who knew her. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her answer was always yes no matter the circumstances.
She will be greatly missed holding fast to her fondest memories are two daughters, Nellie M. Clinkscales and Jackie R. Clinkscales; son, Tony Clinkscales and Robert Ford, whom she had custody of since he was 14 years old all of Norfolk, VA; six grandchildren, Kilwanna Clinkscales, Demont Clinkscales, Marlon Clinkscales, Nicole Clinkscales and Lelitia Clinkscales; three sisters, Hazel Harrison of Jackson, N.C., Blondie Hargis of Dale City and Dorothy Ann Harrison of New York. Left also to cherish her memories are 18 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Eric Johnson, Jason Ruffin, Raymond Peel and Chris Grimes, I Love You.

May 21, 2019 at 12:09 amMiss Nellie and Jackie, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your mother will always hold a special place in my heart we would have a cute conversation from time to time while working at the Hospital. When I would see Jackie I always asked her how your mother was doing. Too you both and the family, you’re all in my thoughts and prayers. When I get a chance to come back to the East Coast I’ll stop by to check on you. P.S. The Service was beautiful…

May 26, 2019 at 5:54 amI am truly sorry for your loss, what really comforted me in my time of loss is the scripture@ Revelation 21:3&4 . Which gives us the wonderful promise of God wiping out every tear from our eyes and death being no more. I hope this promise from Jehovah will truly bring your family much comfort at this time.
