Harvey Lee Jackson

Sunrise: March 31, 1968

Sunset: March 6, 2024

Harvey L. Jackson of Norfolk, Virginia entered the eternal presence of God on March 6, 2024. Harvey attended Lake Taylor High School where he was the best snare drummer they ever had. Harvey would say “I was the best drummer to ever step foot in Lake Taylor, ask they’ll tell you”. He loved watching sports, especially the Cowboys, and telling a good story. Harvey loved clothes, a dresser he was, smelling good, and eating boneless breast with cheese sandwiches from Feather n Fin. Above all, he loved being with family, especially his children and grandson.

One thing Harvey looked forward to every baseball season, was working at Harbor Park and yelling “Fresh Squeeeeeezed Lemonade with Vodkaaaaa”. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Harvey. You could always find him on his porch with both legs in a chair, enjoying the breeze or playing Monopoly Go.

His gentle, warm and kind spirit has significantly impacted his family and friends and will surely be missed. He was preceded in death by his mother Edith M. Jackson, father Harry L. Jackson, and his brother Michael Jackson. Harvey is survived by his oldest daughter Kaberlyn Janea’ Daniel, son Julian Ali, twin daughters Ja’Niya and Kamiyah Epps, grandson William Smith IV, sister Latoya Pembleton, two brother Duane and Michael Pembleton, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifetime friend Kaberlyn Franks.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
