Harry Lee McNeil was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 1, 1949 to the late Jessie McNeal & Mary Williams-Mercer and was raised by Charles Mercer. In his youth Harry moved to Camden, North Carolina and was educated in the Camden
public school system. Harry graduated from Marion Anderson High School in 1969 and attended trade school to be an automobile mechanic in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Harry had many interest and hobbies, but his favorites were drag racing and driving his Honda motorcycle. Harry was employed as a short shore-man for 10 years and then went into business for himself as a licensed drywaller. Harry Passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 4:00 am at MaryView Hospital in Portsmouth Va. Harry was preceded in death by his parents Charles & amp; Mary Williams-Mercer, Jessie McNeal; daughter) Carolyn Reddick, (son) Anthony McNeil and (sister) Joyce McNeil. He leaves to cherish his precious memory; his wife Thelma L. Tolliver (42yrs.); one daughter, Shayra D. Tolliver; and two stepsons, Petrich Tolliver and Shawn Tolliver.
